50M Motoryacht – Under construction

This project has been commissioned by the Prince Group and is the first of a series of yachts which this emerging group is planning. The Prince 50 is a yacht designed as a sleek yet highly comfortable yacht at the very edge of the 500GT rule. Uniquely long and elegant for its category, it is a four deck superyacht which boasts some quite unique features. Glass technology is at the forefront of the design, as the yacht not only enjoys large, multi-deck panoramic windows, but even the bulwarks are glazed, creating a very special open feeling towards the sea.

Superyacht “Mikhail S. Vorontsov” Launched

Mikhail S. Vorontsov, a new 63m all wood classic schooner with external styling and interior by Ken Freivokh Design has been launched from Balk Shipyard in Holland.

This amazing yacht is the brainchild of Valeriy Stepanenko, CEO of Dream Ship Victory, and is the largest all wood classic in the World, and indeed another project carried out in collaboration with naval architects Dykstra. The yacht includes duplex owner quarters with a private deck saloon, a gymnasium and a sauna, with private owner and guest cockpits. Unique and highly detailed wood finishes are a part of the course. The Dream Ship Victory shipyard completed construction of hull and deck in Turkey, and towed the yacht to Balk Shipyard in Holland for final completion and installation of a high class interior by Sinnex.

Ken Freivokh Design has been working closely with Sunseeker to develop stunning interiors on a completely new range. The first new models launched at Southampton Boat Show included the Predator 80 and the Portofino 40, nominated for Motor Boats of the Year Awards 2013. London Boat Show has seen the launch of a further couple of stunning new models:the Predator 68 and the San Remo 48. These new models represent a completely new generation of boats from Sunseeker, pitched at the quality and innovation end of the market, and are sure to keep Sunseeker as the top yacht production company in the World.

The studio has also been working with Pascoe International to develop a totally new range of limousine tenders. The 9 to 10.5m range includes open Landau tenders and closed Limousine tenders, both designed to suit the World’s largest yachts. The first of the new limo range will be delivered early summer 2013. The highly innovative DT range, launched during 2012 has been extremely well received, with several orders in build.

The Freivokh team is also very busy completing the initial design work on the new Prince Group 50m. This yacht is only the start of a new line up of luxury superyachts to come from the same stable, and include unique features such as all glass bulwarks, tremendous panoramic windows, highly advanced tender launching systems.

Monaco Yacht Show 2012

The Freivokh team will be in attendance, with early information on a new 50m motoryacht project. The whole team involved in the design and build of the 141m “Dream Symphony” four masted schooner masterminded by Dream Ship Victory will be in attendance, with some of the activity surrounding such project centred on the Dykstra stand. Ditto further developments of the DynaRIG concept, in sizes from 65m to 105m.

KFD’s involvement with Pascoe International is well known, and the show will see the presentation of the new Pascoe Limousines in both Landau (open) and Limo (closed) versions. These tenders have been totally developed in full 3D, in close partnership with naval architect and specialist Patrick Banfield, and further information will be available at the Pascoe International stand located centrally in the Tender Show (TS5). Pascoe will also be showing one of the high capacity 9m tenders with automatic bimini operation and beachlanding options, as well as one of the now “de rigour” SOLAS 6.2m multipurpose SOLAS rescue and guest leisure tenders.

Southampton Boat Show

Another exciting boat show for the Freivokh team, with the launch of the brand new Sunseeker Predator 80 and Sunseeker Portofino 40. Apart from seriously positive press comments, these models have been selling both from the KFD 3D visuals and of course, since unveiled in the flesh. The Portofino 40 is already the fastest selling boat in Sunseeker’s history!!!

On the sailing boat front, and following the success of the Discovery 55 and Discovery 50 catamaran, Discovery Yachts commissioned Ken Freivokh Design to develop both the external styling and interior of the new 57’, unveiled to the press at preview day.

Superyacht Awards Finalists “M/Y Quinta Essentia” / “M/Y Never Say Never”

Two of Ken Freivokh Design’s projects were voted finalists in the 2012 World Superyacht Awards judging: the 55m Heesen built M.Y. Quinta Essentia and the Sunseeker 130’ Predator “Never Say Never”.

On Quinta Essentia the Freivokh team took design to its ultimate level of detail, matching many of the external details to the extraordinary interior, which included a free flowing treatment of floors and ceilings, glass shards and glass and polished stainless stairs within a unique atrium. The interior décor was finalised with input from Michela Reverberi.

Never Say Never was a deeply custom interpretation of the semi custom Sunseeker Predator 130. Developed for an owner for whom Ken Freivokh had previously designed boats and private jets, the interior is a very special blend of leathers and deep lacquers to create a warm and strikingly colourful interior.
